Mary McCormack was an American actress, best known for her role as the main character in TV shows like "Murder One", "The West Wing", "In Plain Sight" and Loaded. Apart from her TV roles, McCormack has also been recognized for her film roles such as Private Parts, Deep Impact,?True Crime? and?"1408". McCormack has a father who is a medical therapist, and owner of an ice cream shop. She comes from a non-entertainment family. When her parents separated in 1990, she was enrolled at Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut where she graduated with the degree of BA in Comparative Art. The actress began her professional career at 12 years old when she starred in the stage production "Amahl & The Night Visitors which was a Christmas-themed operetta. As she continued her career as a stage actress, McCormack ultimately was cast in roles on films and television. McCormack today is acknowledged as one of the best known and versatile actors. McCormack is the wife of director/producer Michael Morris and has three children.
